I’ve read “if you can color you can mediate” That might be hard to believe if you are one of the many individuals that have tried and failed to meditate. We have all heard about the life-changing benefits of meditation; from regulating blood pressure and easing anxiety to slowing down the aging process and helping people achieve their ideal weight. But, how many times have you tried to ‘quiet your mind’ or ‘just relax’ only to find yourself fretting over work and what to have for dinner? Instead of feeling relief you feel like you’ve wasted your time.
On the surface, meditation sounds simple enough. Just quiet your mind and breathe your way to inner peace. In reality, people with high levels of stress or anxiety would LOVE to quiet their mind. After all, no one purposely spends their days stressed out. No one wants to live in fear of having another panic attack. Unfortunately, a stressed mind is a racing mind. Thoughts run through your head faster than you can sort them out or push them aside.
